Thank you all so much for the good word.

Your wonderful comments make me going on the hard days when I really doubt myself and my work.

Sincerely,
Darek Banasik, photographer

I continue to be drawn to your web site, anticipating new
work...enjoying and admiring anew the older pieces. Revisiting those
pieces of art intensifies my admiration for your talent.
Once again, I throughly enjoy your site, keep up the
excellent work and thanks for providing people like me the opportunity
to view your work.

I really enjoyed your photo gallery. I'm actually only through the first

As a fellow photographer I was impressed with your control of light
and the intensity of your subject matter.............Keep up the fantastic work and I wish
you nothing but the best.

I think your photos are wonderfull.....

I am in total awe. Your work is easily the most original and solid body
of work I have had the pleasure of seeing. As an aspiring photographer
you have completely inspired this would be photographer. Your site is
bookmarked. I'll be back.
KevinKevin, dfb@istar.ca

Your work is interesting, I see the exhibitions numbers 1,3,7,13,
and I think that some times the manipulation is very strong and I can't see the
forms exactly, I don't know if is the computer that lost the detail, but
the photograph number 8 of the exhibition 13 it's great!!!, congatulations.........
Dr. Rafael Camarillo, wuitty@acnet.net

........as I viewed your work I was excited by its innovative, dramatic and painterly quality!
Whoever said it, is right on -- you do indeed capture the mythological and eternal woman
both in poses and coloring and your manipulation is exquisite and dare I say, sublime.
Have already bookmarked your site and will be returning to it again and again.
Thanks for the treat.

Hi, your pictures intrigue and attract . Would you tell me the secret of colouring?
Do you make it by hand or using computer? How long are you engaged in photographing?

I enjoyed the work and need much more time to respond. Your work is very
physical, sensual and full of feelings. I'll be back to look again soon.

Being an artist also, I think it's safe for me to say
that we both believe the human figure to be the greatest
art of all. If Michelangelo portrayed the male figure
in its paramount beauty then you have certainly given
the female form the same passion; though your works
are in film, they are as creative and awe-inspiring as
any great works of art. Thank you for sharing.
Do you have any book out? I'd love to get a copy of one of your works.
Godfrey Akbar97@aol.com

I enjoyed looking at your images; in many ways we have similar interests and
ways to display them. I did look at the entire collection of images and think
that your work is unique and reminds of the work of Wm. Mortensen; America's
last pictorialist.
Gooh luck in opening doors, Walter

image 32, exhibit 11 is perhaps one of the most exquisit shots I have seen.
you have captured the best of a woman's mood and body, the lines and the
shadow. the face and the hands tell of something hidden behing the picture.
bravo and thank you

If there is only one word to be said of your phenomenal portrayal of raw human emotion and sensuality, it would be this: perfection. I wish to extend my thanks.

I ran across your sight and found the images in your photo gallery very
moving. The use of shadows give the stillness of the photo a very active appearance.
Very unique and very beautiful.

You have already gotten so much good critic and I just want to say that
i agree, the pictures are so great in many ways. Never before I´ve seen
pictures with so much feeling, so great composition, so touching...
I´m out of words.... Hope to see more of it in the future.

thank you.

I've cruised through here before, and each time I say "God, I wonder what
Darik calls this." I can see you standing there with your arms crossed,
holding your hand towards your chin, then say (with a faint smile) "I don't
know, It's --- " and you'll casually come off with something that will send
sparks through my head. Maybe you should put in a separate section of your
own reflections on some of your most favored works.
I'll go on to say that your texturing and use of color is incredible.
It seems you varied from that some in your last gallery. Any particualr reason?

What is the "goddess" for you, Darek?

love your images especially image 4. they remind me of a modern russian

very worked, contain an atmosphere within them, and have
another time essence in them. but who am i?

photography and poetry. i pay the bill by working as a graphic designer.

coming across your web page, I was immediately captivated by your

You are most certainly a notable artist, and i thank you sincerely for
allowing me to view some of your splendid art. My appreciation extends

My wife is an artist and I just showed her two galleries of your photos.
Her comment upon seeing the first photo was WOW!!!
and repeated that comment as we went a long.
Your photographs of nudes are the best I have ever seen. Extremely
artistic and exotic. Poses are unlike any other nudes I have seen. Good
for you. Difficult to tell if it is a photograph or a painting. Are the
colored ones black and white and then hand colored? The colors are
fantastic. My compliments to you. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.
Bill william t barrett, bear@whidbey.com

I found your sight on "ethereal" while surfing, and followed the link
listing your nudes. I say, those were some of the most artistic and
beautiful that I have ever seen. The female nude is the most beautiful
examples of artistic form, and it is so easy to do, and the subject matter
is more varied than any other painters pallette. The problem is that the
art is so simple, and it is so easy to please the vast audience that nudes
are rarely done with an eye for true artistry. Congratulations.

There are a number of really nice photos in the collection;
I especially liked the use of tones and colors in spots. Some of the
photos are almost Picasso-esque, while others reach way down deep-- from
the primitive, the ancient, the dream-world.
I am not an artist, so I don't know how to express my appreciation of your art.
Suffice it to say that it is wonderful to find someone who
knows the difference between the sublime vs. the profane.
Your art shows a sensitivity (and at times a playfulness) which honors and understands your subject.

Your exhibit of photographs is intriguing, to say the least.
Your artwork completely fascinates me.
From the way they bring out the true beauty of the nude artform
to the unique lighting style, your compiled photographs create
a fantastic gallery.
I wonder if you have a collection of these photographs in book form.
I would be quite interested.
Surely, your internet gallery is not the only forum which
you have distributed these photographs :)
Also,
have you used any other mediums to display your talent?
ie. sculpting, animated pictures, music videos :), short movies, painting ?
Thanks,

I am speechless. . . . Having experienced last night the creative
process which marks the beginning of such stunning, powerful and
profoundly moving images and then bathing in the river of your

for several months. I am grateful for the experience of your creative
mind and soul.

You have some wonderful photographs very elegantly presented. You're
comment about going on in the face of doubt reminds me of a comment I
read from Sarah Moon about trying to find something to photograph,
walking around and around the model, trying to keep the model from
feeling her doubts, and generally wondering just what the hell she's
going to do this time to produce. I go through the same, and it really
is the comments from others that keep you going. Sorry that I don't

Your work is what I have had pictured in my mind as the essence of
beautiful nude art. Thanks for sharing your impressive talent!
David DeMontigny, ddemonti@prairie.NoDak.edu

The nude female form is one of the most beautiful images in the world.
Unfortunately, to many times these images are distorted and over-sexed.
In my quest to find tasteful, artistic images of female figures, I was
caught up in trip wires and pitfalls of sex and pornography. While
there is no definate line between nude art, erotic art, and pornography,
and I have no place saying what is right or wrong.
When I finally stubbled upon your art I was relieved.
You have manage to capture the essence of the female form.
You have shown us their more of their sensuality and less of their sexuality.
Thank you!

In my quest to find tasteful, artistic images of female figures, I was
caught up in trip wires and pitfalls of sex and pornography. While
there is no definate line between nude art, erotic art, and pornography,
and I have no place saying what is right or wrong, I would like to say
that your work is what I have been searching for.

Let me take the opportunity of saying what an excellent gallery this is.

I find your photos very interesting. One thing that strikes me about it is that it seems almost painted or drawn. I was wondering is this an effect you acheve through developing or computer manipulation. I like your work. It has a very dark and sureal quality to it.

Excellent images! You bring a resonant and refreshing tone that I hope we see emulated by more of the other 'artists' on the net.

My brother and I appreciated your nudes very much, but we think they would be better if they could be made bigger, like as big as our screen, so that we could get good printouts of them to look at afterwards.
Kenneth E. Martin, marymartin@provide.net

As a serious amateur whose preferred subject is the nude figure, it was with no small degree of pleasure that I discovered your website. I am highly impressed with the overall caliber of your work, and as for individual images, I am hard-pressed to select a favorite, as all are of impeccable quality. Keep up the fine work.
